If you think people drive bad where you live, think again! I'm pretty sure that NOLA has the worst drivers on the planet! Making U-Turns when there is an obviously No U-Turn sign posted, making lefts on red, leaving a huge gap in between them and the person in front of them that two other cars could fit between, and too many more to name! There is this horrible place in front of Tulane University Hospital and Clinic that is supposed to be a two-laned road, but people will sit right in the middle of the two lanes and it causes so much congestion! I have yelled and screamed at people and they have all but flashed a gun in my face! I have horrible road rage, which will probably get me shot one day....
The hosptail I work at is only 8 miles from my house but it can take 30 or 45 minutes to get to work! That's insane to me! Especially since it only took 5 minutes to get to work when I lived in Ruston. There are pros and cons of living in a big city. There is always somewhere new to go or somewhere nice to eat! I LOVE IT! However; you can't 'run a quick errand' or 'run into the grocery store'. It takes too much time and you have to fight traffic and bad drivers.
I have met a fabulous guy, Sean! He's simply amazing! He's different than anyone I have ever dated. He treats me very well! I love his family...which is very refreshing since I'm so far away from my own family. Of course we have our differences, but the good definitely outweighs the bad. He's a sweetheart!
I really miss my family and friends back home. There is not a day that goes by that I don't wish I was riding around late at night with Mer, Jo, and Kayla and getting into trouble. I miss those quiet Sunday dinners at Mom's. This has definitely been one of the toughest years of my life. From going to South Carolina for 3 months to moving 300 miles away from everything that I find familiar; however, I am a stronger person and have realized that I can make it on my own. I couldn't have done it without the love and support from my family and friends!
I can't wait to blog again....

I think you are so strong to have moved out of the familiar and into the unknown! Only you could have done it! I love you and can't wait for you to show us girls around in a couple of weeks!
What? We never got in trouble! haha
I agree with Jo about you being so strong. I know I never could have taken that contractual leap of faith, haha. Even though I miss you more than you'll ever know, I'm so proud of you and so thankful that you're happy there.
